SRS Portfolio 20 March 2022

It was a very interesting month - stock markets globally crashed over the last few weeks and then rebounded over the last few days.

I didn't take any action during the crash as I was pretty tied up with work - so no change to my portfolio mix.

The SRS portfolio has proven to be resilient despite the market turmoil but it is also not going to rise quickly in a bull market as it is constructed with passive income in mind.
The portfolio has a projected yield of 5.2% or around $15,000 per annum.

It is very important for you to plan for your financial freedom. You will need to sit down with your loved ones and come up with a retirement plan that suits both your income level, temperament and lifestyle.

Below is the path that I have designed for my financial freedom over the last 20 years (in sequence) :
  1. Save up and save up and save up (build a pool of cash to invest or take advantage of dislocations)
  2. Invest in your first property (It acts as inflation hedge)
  3. Build up a portfolio of bonds (generates annual passive income)
  4. Build up a portfolio of REITs or dividend paying stocks (SRS portfolio)
  5. Build up a portfolio global growth stocks (in progress)
  6. Build up a portfolio of private equity funds (in progress)
  7. Looking for a second property with enbloc potential (in progress)
Happy Planning on a lazy weekend!
