SRS Portfolio - 29 Jan 2023

The Year of the Rabbit seemed to hop off to a good start, at least for the SRS portfolio.

In a matter of one month, the portfolio value increased from $358,740 on 31 Dec 2022 to $374,403 and the biggest drivers are AIMS APAC REIT, Frasers Centrepoint Trust and UMS Holdings.

Portfolio value as of 29 Jan 2023

AIMS APAC REIT

On 25 Jan 2023, AIMS reported a solid set of 3Q results for the period from 1 Oct 2022 to 31 Dec 2022, where DPU grew 10.2% to 2.59 cents! The distribution will be cut off on 2 Feb 2023 and paid out on 24 March 2023.  Looking at the share price movement, the market probably already knew and has moved up prior to the results announcement. You can find the management presentation here.

Frasers Centrepoint Trust

On 26 Jan 2023. Frasers Centrepoint Trust announced that it is going to acquire 50% interest in prime suburban retail mail NEX for $652.5m. I have been to NEX a couple of times and I would agree that it is a great acquisition with strong footfall. The acquisition is marginally DPU accretive and the pro forma DPU will increase by 0.52% to 12.29 cents. The share price has also run up nicely since the start of 2023. You can find the business update presentation slides here

UMS Holdings Ltd

While there isn't much newsflow from UMS Holdings, its share price has also performed pretty strongly since 1 Jan 2023.

Portfolio Value

I was searching through my blog to see what the highest portfolio value it ever reached and found it in my Valentine's post on 13 Feb 2022, where the portfolio value was $383,480. I am still $9,077 (or 2.4%) below the peak. Shall I 'play cheat" and top up the SRS account now? 😬

That's all for a lazy Sunday.

Happy SRSing!
